This year we are advancing to the final 8 once again, this time we will host Del Oro H.S in the 2nd round of Playoffs on Thursday, May 9th at 7pm here at Grant.
The Grant Pacers Boys Volleyball Team finished 1st in DVC with an undefeated 10-0 record for the SECOND straight season. This season marks the programs 4th year consecutive first place finish and 3rd undefeated season.
Congratulations to our four Pacers who made DVC ALL CONFERENCE SELECTIONS: Aleksey Kiselev, Cheng Thao, Cameron Nunn and John Vang. Also Congratulations to Coach R. Faraimo on being named DVC Coach of the Year for the second year in a row!
On the Road to Victory !!!
On 4/25 Grant Pacer Boys VB team ranked #1 in Delta Valley faced Monterey Trail Mustangs (#2). Winner would take soul possession of first place. After an epic 4 set match, your Pacers came out with the Victory and currently has an undefeated 8-0 record in League play. And an Overall Record of 21-3 with two league matches to go before playoffs. One more win will secure a #1 ranked finish for the fourth year in a row for the Grant Pacer Boys Volleyball Program.
The Boys Pacer VB program came off an undefeated season last year(2012) with a perfect 10-0 record. After a star studded starting line up that consisted of four seniors who graduated, this season(2013) was set to be a rebuilding year for the young Pacer Squad who only has 2 seniors. But that was not the case at all as this years' Pacer Volleyball Team battled there way to the top, improving there game day in and day out.
"Ima Proud Coach! We worked hard for this, my Pacers deserve this, an undefeated 8-0 record with this young Pacer Squad, aside from their great work ethic, the heart of this team is above and beyond #GrantPacers #PacerVolleyball #ProudOfMyBoys" -Coach Faraimo

Meet Coach Richard

"My name is Richard Faraimo, well known as Coach Rick and I am the Head Varsity Coach for the Grant Pacer Volleyball ProgramI am 23 years of age, and i currently attend California State University (Sacramento) with a major in Communications and an emphasis in Public Relations. The 2013 season will be my 5th year coaching, I started coaching right out of High School. I attended Grant High School my freshman &sophomore years, but left to Rio Linda where i graduated class of 2008.I played "Club Volleyball" for NCVC throughout High School where I played volleyball at the Junior Olympic Level. I had opportunities to play at the collegiate level but tore my ACL in my right knee shortly after graduating high school. I started coaching Volleyball in 2009 through my younger brother Charles Faraimo who just graduated from Grant last year, and now attends the University of Nevada (Reno) on a football scholarship. His freshman year was the year Grant debuted a Boys Volleyball team and that's how i became involved. The Grant Pacer Volleyball Program has made it to Playoffs every year since the program began which included 1st Place in Metro League in 2010, a tie for 1st place in Delta Valley Conference in 2011, and an undefeated record last year in DVC for the 2012 season.I thank my parents for paying my way through "Club Volleyball" at NCVC in particular because that is where i learned the game. Had it not been for them, i wouldn't be here today."
