About Us:
The Grant Union High School English Department prides itself on providing rigorous instruction in reading, writing, thinking, and speaking skills. These courses are designed using the California State Standards for English/Language Arts and utilize common instructional practices to increase student learning. Honors courses are offered to 9th and 10th graders, and 11th and 12th graders may apply for admission to the Advanced Placement courses which afford them the opportunity to earn college credit during high school in Language and Composition as well as Literature and Composition.
